Blood Type Diet: Eating for Type O, A, B, and AB

Blood Type Diet: Eating for Type O, A, B, and AB

Being a home health care in Douglasville, Georgia, we try to help everyone with their diet. Usually, when you browse the Internet to look for answers on how to be healthy, results will suggest that the key is a healthy diet. There is already a blood type diet developed by naturopath Dr. Peter J. D’Adamo. Universal Home Care And Services, Inc. wants to share Dr. D’Adamo’s recommendations with you.

  • Blood type O
You can prepare foods rich in protein-heavy on lean meat, poultry, fish and vegetables and light on grains, beans, and dairy.
  • Blood type A
People with blood type A have a sensitive immune system, says Dr. D’Adamo. So, he recommends an organic and fresh meat-free diet based on fruits and vegetables, beans and legumes, and whole grains.
  • Blood type B
Avoid corn, wheat, buckwheat, lentils, tomatoes, and sesame seeds. The recommendation encourages you to eat green vegetables, eggs, certain meats, and low-fat dairy.
  • Blood Type AB
Since people with this blood type have low stomach acid, focus your diet on foods like tofu, seafood, dairy and green vegetables and avoid caffeine, alcohol, and smoked or cured meats.

Seniors in in-home care or private home care can ask their companion sitter or health aide to prepare foods based on their blood type. However, as the caregiver or sitter, you need to know your client’s health condition first.

We are a home care agency in Georgia that provides excellent personal care, companion care, and skilled nursing. And as a home health care provider to people, it is our goal to help you achieve wellness.

Important Note: For individuals with chronic conditions, we recommend that you consult a physician before applying the diet by Dr. D’Adamo.
